Action on Hearing Loss is respected charity working for a world where hearing loss doesn’t limit or label people, where tinnitus is silenced and where people value and look after their hearing.
Unaddressed hearing loss can have a serious impact on health and wellbeing. People with hearing loss are more likely to experience emotional distress and loneliness, and the risk of developing depression is doubled. Additionally people with hearing loss are at least twice as likely to develop dementia. It’s estimated that, within Lichfield District, there are 23,500 people with a hearing loss
Action on Hearing Loss has received funding from Lichfield District Council as part of their Ageing Well Strategy, to continue their work in the district running hearing loss awareness sessions/talks and providing information. As part of this initiative, a Hear To Meet drop-in will be held on the third Wednesday of each month from 10.30 to 1.30 in The Field Community Space, Three Spires Shopping Centre, Lichfield and we are very grateful to the Three Spires Management for their support of this.
The first drop-in will be held on WEDNESDAY 18TH DECEMBER.
