Plaque marks Three Spires latest award

Lichfield’s Three Spires Shopping Centre is delighted to announce that it has been awarded ‘Secured Environments’ status after successfully meeting the strict security criteria set out by the Police.

The accreditation is awarded to organisations that demonstrate they have adopted six key principles for protecting themselves against crime, as recommended by the Police and security professionals.

“The safety of our shoppers and all who visit and work within the centre is our number one priority,” said Centre Manager Lisa Prokopiou. “We wanted to ensure that we were not only up to speed on all the latest security measures, but that we are also using them to maximum effect.”

Three Spires was assessed on a number of different aspects of security, all of which focus on reducing the risk of violence and crime on the premises so that the shopping centre is a safer environment for customers.

“The process is incredibly thorough, and covers everything from our health and safety policies and security procedures to staff training and even the technology we use,” said Lisa. “We have worked hard to create a relaxed setting for our customers so that their shopping experience at Three Spires is enjoyable. To be recognised in this way is testament to the hard work of the security team and everyone here at the centre.

“We’re incredibly pleased to have successfully achieved this accreditation, and we will continue our commitment to maintaining and improving the safe and secure environment that Three Spires Shopping Centre provides its shoppers,” concluded Lisa.
